Midjourney has released the alpha version of its new model — V7! This long-awaited update promises to take image generation to a whole new level.

Midjourney V7 is still in alpha testing and is available to a limited group of users for debugging. Here at GPTunneL we're keeping a close eye on it and getting ready to add it to our platform alongside Midjourney V6 as soon as it becomes stable and publicly available.
In the meantime, let's take a look at the cool features the new version promises!
What's new in Midjourney V7
The developers call V7 more than just an update — it's a major step forward, built on a new architecture. Here's what stands out:
- Hyperrealism and detail: V7 reportedly renders even more realistically. Expect incredible detail in textures (skin, fabric, metal), wrinkles, pores, eyelashes — almost like macro photography!
- Better prompt understanding: The model has gotten "smarter" and follows text descriptions more precisely, especially complex ones.

More natural faces and poses: No more "uncanny valley" or extra fingers! V7 handles anatomy better, especially hands.
- Draft Mode: A draft mode that generates images 10 times faster and at half the cost! Perfect for quick sketches and experiments. A draft you like can later be re-rendered in full quality.
- Personalization by default: V7 will adapt to your unique style, but first you'll need to rate around 200 images to "train" the model.
- Improved handling of light and shadow.
Current status and what's available on GPTunneL right now
It's worth remembering: Midjourney V7 is still an alpha version. Some features, like upscaling or retexturing, still run on V6. The Midjourney team will keep refining the model over the coming months.
Here at GPTunneL, we're closely following developments and will add V7 as soon as it becomes possible. But that doesn't mean you should just wait around! Right now, Midjourney 6.1 is already available on GPTunneL — a powerful and stable version that lets you create stunning images with excellent detail and prompt understanding.
